A MOONLIGHT STROLL

by Tim Fleckney   Mar 1, 2006

SHE CAME TO ME BY
THE LIGHT OF THE MOON
SOFTLY GLOWING
SENSUOUSLY IRIDESCENT
I STOOD BEFORE HER
EXPOSED, NAKED, AND VULNERABLE
TO HER SCRUTINY

SMILING A GENTLE, SECRET SMILE
THAT WHISPERED OF
DREAMS ABOUT TO UNFOLD
SHE WRAPPED ME IN A
CLOAK OF GOSSAMER FANTASY

WITH SWEET URGENCY
SHE TOOK ME BY THE HAND
AND WHISKED ME AWAY
TO THE STARS
TOGETHER WE WALKED
THE HEAVENS
SHEDDING OUR INHIBITIONS
AS WE WENT
LEAVING THEM SCATTERED AMONG
THE CLOUDS
LIKE A TRAIL OF
CLOTHES
LEFT BY DESPERATE YOUNG
LOVERS ON THEIR
WAY TO THE
BEDROOM
