I remember a time
when we were in love
and it seemed to me
you were sent from above

You could read my mind
Somehow you always knew
what I was thinking
Oh, how I loved you

We were gonna get married
We were gonna have children
Little Adam, don't you remember?
And Annalise, have you forgotten?

I remember the night
that you gave me this ring
I was so happy
On the rooftops could I sing

I was the happiest girl alive
No one could ever know
the pain I felt when we split
God, I felt so low

But for some reason
it seemed my love faded away
and I was to leave this place
and you were to stay

And now that I'm gone
I miss you so
You think I hate you
but you'll never know

That I don't and never could
however it may feel
That love that we felt
It was so painfully real

But now I just have my ring
Left on my hand for you
But you'll never really know
That I still love you, I do...

    Aw it's really deep. I can see how close you two really were. The plans you wanted to make. I'm sorry bout the way things turned out. I liked this lots. I feel the same way. good stuff =)

    That was a very good poem with a lot of emotions and definately original! and u put your own lil pizaz in it with the names of the children and everything. the only advice i have is to use more punctuation and in some parts of it, it seemed like u were trying to hard to rhyme. but overall this was a great peice and it definately deserves a 5/5!!!
