Vapour Beneath The Clouds

by Sondos   Mar 1, 2006

We are but vapour beneath the clouds
Translucent passion under the horizon
Seduced by the simple things
Our desire to be dreamers
Wakes us up to real life

The world without people
To burden it with our petty worries
Would be joyous and true
Yet it takes our weight with grace
Knowing we'll soon leave
Let nature rest in peace

When we stop colouring our world
With crayons of the future
We'll truly understand it
Let the old man teach the young
Let our earth teach us how to live

If I were to kill the demon would it not still be murder?
If I were to seduce the temptress, rape?

If I were the last puff of vapour beneath the clouds
Would the passion still be there?
Would my heart beat twice as fast in yearning?
Or would I lose the power in despair?

Seeing as most others began their comments with Wow! Then I don't see why I shouldn't :)

    Wow!

'If I were to kill the demon would it not still be murder?
If I were to seduce the temptress, rape?'

Theyre amazing lines - though the entire poem is great :) Keep it up

I'm not really sure what your trying to say in this poem, the last two paragraphs kind of lost me, but i have to say the ones that i understood were good, you have a way with words, but i still wish i could of understood all of it.
