Tyranny

by Ashleigh   Mar 2, 2006

Voracious nations
Eradicate their youth
Crucified but never resurrected
For vocalizing truth
Seize their dreams
Trepidation towards the unknown
Impervious to the screams
No sentiment shown
Fabricate justice
\"You\'re doing what\'s right\"
But you\'ll never bear
The loss of your sight
Due to needles piercing
Astute irises
For beyond doubt seeing
You discern your demise for this
Infant revolutionary
You\'ll never suspend
This ball and shackle mean naught
Your broken wings shall mend
So raise your head
As you watch them smolder
Though the embers continue to glow
You feel your body grow colder
Your limbs feel profound
And your torso refuses to rise
A smile plays across your face
As you tilt your head towards black November skies

Freedom has itâ??s priceâ?¦ conformity into a ignorant society.
