Say Your Prayers

by Ashleigh   Mar 2, 2006

Place me six feet beneath the surface
So I can savor heaven in your tears
Headstone the only reminder
Youâ??ve been my archangel for all these years

Iron gates my shroud
Granite gargoyles bathe the night in depth
Manipulating the shadows into my reflection
Here lays a beast thatâ??s never slept

If my broken heart could beat
I swear itâ??d break my chest
Put the muzzle in my mouth
And put this heathen down to rest

Now Iâ??ve reached the end of the road less traveled
And Iâ??ve got nothing left to grip
Those last few words
Pushed me over the cliff
