Grandad

Grandad

Grandad you left us so suddenly,
It was a massive shock to us all,
To try to think of life without you,
Is the hardest task of all.

When I saw you lying there,
The tears flooded my face,
But I knew you had been reunited with Nan,
Just inside those golden gates.

You were a grandad sent from heaven,
You were a grandad that cared,
You were a grandad that I loved so much,
But now I love that special grandad so much more.

You left us on your birthday,
You were 65, thatâ??s all,
At least now your birthdayâ??s being spent with Nan,
In that big heavenly hall.

The only memories that I cherish,
Are my memories of you,
But then again how could I forget,
Someone as special as you.
