When We First Meet

by Sarah Ashley   Mar 6, 2006

Hesitant for your affection
Knowing this could end in destruction
Upon meeting you I was very wary
Being vulnerable again seemed so scary
but talking to you makes me so content
From heaven above you must of been sent

With every glance you make me giggle and blush
I sink down in my seat feeling so flush
You flash me your brilliant smile
and I stare at you all the while
Watching you from afar my friend
Never wanting this day to end

You pass by me and say hi
With the sound of your voice my heart seems to fly
It's time for me to leave so I open the door with a fling
Knowing that this is the beginning of a wonderful thing

I liked the idea behind the poem but you seemed to rush it. You are such a talented writer and have much potential. Try making the poem a little longer, like, stretch out some of the verse.
