Good night kiss

by silhouette fairy   Mar 6, 2006

She looks at him
just lying there
slow, deep breaths
of his deep slumber
she remembers the day they met
he wore a bright blue shirt,
her favorite color,
her in a red satin gown
their eyes met
sparks flew,
he asked her to dance
she would never turn him down
gliding through the ballroom
looking into each other's eyes
everyone else vanished
it was just them two
the magic came to an end
with the coming of the night
off they went to be alone
they sat in the courtyard
and there was where they fell in love
now they must retire to their homes
but before they leave
one amazing good night kiss
stirring in his sleep
he looks at her with loving eyes
and whispers "i love you"
kissing his forehead
she whispers "i love you, too"

**yay a happy poem tell me how you like it and if i should write more??**

Aww, this was sweet :) It sounds very picturesque and dreamy and I like how it's simple with no sudden twists turning it into another lost-love poem! I like how you have written it as if you are telling it to someone - sometimes using just basic, everyday language is the best way to get what we are trying to say across! I also liked how you managed to add in the 'i love you's' without sounding cheesy! I'm still trying to get that aswell but it's not working lol. The only thing I'd recommend is adding some full stops in. Nice poem :)
