Bury the Beauty

by Sondos   Mar 17, 2006

We entice enormous leeches in our cries for a hand
I reach into the translucency
And the vision has fled, humiliated by its own mentality
I destroy white vampires about the sky
Murder the jealousy and hack away at the ugly
The fun is fleeing
Running dripping in its own slime
I bury the beauty in the mud, matt it with soil
So that I alone maybe the model, the one for all to admire

My limelight is fading, my halo dim
Wavering above the one who used to have a name
Turning away
Breaking promises of forever
Did it ever even happen?
Nobody knows
For I am the only witness of my own glory
Still humiliated by my own mentality
Still coated in slime
But still here

This is really good. The description of it was very vivid & the flow of this is really good. My favorite lines were:
    Did it ever even happen?
    Nobody knows
For I am the only witness of my own glory
Those really stood out to me. You did a great job on this! 5/5**
