To The Boss

by Tom Cheriyan   Mar 20, 2006

\"The traffic was terrible.\"
\'Tis the same excuse again,
I just love lying in,
Late for work again.

It's morning, when I enjoy my rest,
I\'m a late night person, you see,
Reading, partying or watching telly,
I wish my \'office\' would come to me.

My colleagues could come to my bedside,
To answer a question or two,
Or even discuss important targets,
With me and just you.

When time for meetings do arise,
All could gather round my bed,
Talk about tasks and KPIs
Or discuss what the markets said.

When I am in the shower,
You can play a team building game,
Time for a well-deserved break,
Or if you fancy, think of a new corporate name.

My kitchen all brightly lit
Will turn into the hottest spot,
Steaming with corporate gossip,
Our water cooler area, with warm coffee pot.

I am at my thinking best,
When I am quite relaxed,
So productivity peaks in home environment,
When I\'m lying in bed.

No, you\'ve got me wrong,
I don\'t want to be the boss,
Just an ordinary worker be,
The company can gain so much if the \'office\' came to me.

I loved this one, especially the reference to KPI's!!! So often it's been a thought that crossed my mind.
