Smoking

by Mickayla   Mar 20, 2006

I sit outside,
And I take a hall,
I know for a fact,
Its not good for me at all.

I lean my head back,
Against the brick wall,
Look at the stars,
And I think very hard,

What is it,
That made me start?
Because I know its bad for my heart.

I think back to last summer,
Where I first started working,
And my life was tougher.

I think back,
To what it was like,
When I was always busy,
And actually had a life.

Do I prefer to sit around?
I To feel like im bound?

Bound to societys
Expectations?

I finally did it,
That summer I thought,
I fought long and hard,
But now Im sure,
That summer made me,
The person I am.

I am who I am,
I thought to myself,
I am a writer,
A taekwondoist,
And a lover.

Allthough I know,
I sit outside,
And I take a hall,
I know for a fact,
Its not good for me at all.
