Not the Past

by Bill Turner   Mar 21, 2006

Reach out and take someone's hand
Take them with you on the walk of life
Show them that this world can be grand
Keep them close and help alleviate their strife

Every day as you head down the path
Share the journey with someone you know
Steer them away from anger and wrath
Together you can make a difference and grow

Mind what you say as you mumble and talk
Words can massage away so much
They can also bite and hurt as you squawk
Let them become your gentle touch

Living life and treating others with respect
Giving what we want in return
There is so much we come to expect
Needing to give it first is a lesson to learn

Teach it to yourself and share it with another
Hoping that the difference you make will last
Reach out to your sister and brother
We can change the future, just not the past

What a beautiful and true message- if everyone treated others how they would like to be treated all the problems in this world would dissapear, it is wonderfully structured and spiritually uplighting- a joy to read. :) Take care XxX
