One Single Breath

by Bradley Peter   Mar 21, 2006

He seemed to be in need
of something he couldn't obtain
to him she was a goddess
but she just found him plain

a huge smile upon his face
as she graced him with her looks
he wrote her loads of poems
which covered inside he's books

the day finally came
he told her how he felt
that every time she past
he's heart began to melt

she responded with cruelty
saying he was of lower class
and "thanks for the offer
but i think I'd rather pass"

he walked to the bridge
and leaped to he's death
she destroyed all his hope
in one single breath

*i apologies, because this poem was actually better in my opinion but i got logged out and lost it*

When I vote for something, and give it an (excellent), it is because it truely is. i loved this poem, from the begining, till the last stanza, i had no idea which direction you were going to take this, and i love the path you chose for it. absolutly fantastic work.

It is a good poem. I'm not to big on the love thing for that reason, the girl was just cruel. but you got the feelings of love and hope out there, I felt like I was sort of there you know looking through the authors eyes.
