Silent Bliss of a Kiss

by Monique   Mar 24, 2006

**This poem has no rhyme pattern, I decided to stray from what I normally do and try something different..**

I could hear everything,
But heard nothing.

I could see everything,
But my eyes were closed.

I could feel every breathe,
But couldn't move a muscle.

A thousand words were said,
But none were spoken.

Clocks stopped ticking, phones stopped ringing,
And the raindrops didn't even splash.

The craziest part about it all is that...
It happened with a single kiss...

The whole world stood completely still,
As my heart ran rampant through a suspended state.

This is wonderful, the lack of rhyming does many favours for this!
I find it hard to write coherently without my old friend mr.rhyme, but u show great talent in moving away to try something new!!

    Very well done!

    But none were spoken.
