The way things are

We were not made to live on a cloud,
But to be firmly planted on the ground.

God gave us mountains, but to reach the top
You must struggle and climb.
If you are not firmly planted
You will surly stumble and fall.

We were not meant to live on pride,
But to be humbly dependent on God.

    Good poem, is the word, 'surly' meant to be spelt - 'surely' - it's a good idea to proof read your work. Anyway keep up the good work : )
