Do You Care

by Psymon   Mar 28, 2006

I am so sad for the state of the world, in which we live,
people have taken leave of senses, lost the power to give
greed rules
led by fools
unashamed to lie their way into office
but at what price?
This is reflected in one on one relationship
expectations are the norm as the scale of balance tips
no justice, unfair laws, taking away freedoms and peace
no wonder so many seek an early release
America and Britain both led by puppet regimes
both of them full of petty misled schemes
no one taking responsibility for anything that\'s said
is it that our leaders would rather we were dead?
I cry for the starving, but my tears do no good
if we all cried together then maybe they would
corporate world is where we are bound
demonstrating no longer works, I have found
why is it that so few of us care?
are we taking any action as we poison the air?
Bush is the biggest joke of all
unable to string a sentence, master of pratfall,
Blair runs around like the frightened puppy he\'s become
I wonder if either of them realise just what they have done
in all of this angst and fear, there\'s a ray of sunlight
as some of us stand up to fight
not the Islamic aggressors our leaders believe
but the media led hypocrisy we allow them to weave
truth is fighting to make a come back
pointing out the inadequacies we all lack
homelessness is seen as a disease of today
but look at the truth of how we became this way?
America has been shafting us since world war two
history is distorted; no one believes this to be true
now as the oil runs dry they declare war at the drop of a hat
pretending to be on the side of god, as they grow fat
in truth, corporations control the puppet strings
selling arms to enemies, then move in to clip their wings
promises are broken, never meant in the first place
no conscious for any loss of face
remember the emperor is stark naked, totally bare
will you continue to believe the lies fed to you, do you really care?
