My First Love

by Tammie   Mar 29, 2006

I hardly know him,
So how could this be love?
Why do I feel like this?
Like my heart is fluttering like a dove.

Every time I talk to him,
My stomach turns to butterflies,
And when I don't,
I feel like I want to die.

It must be love,
He is the only one I've ever felt this for,
Brainwashed, abducted,
I've never felt like this before.

I lose track of all my thoughts
I think about him all day long,
Then I go home,
And listen to his song.

I chose a song just for him,
To listen to,
When he is on my mind,
So that it will give me something to do.

The song is amazing,
It brings laughter and joy,
But also sadness and tears,
How much I must love this boy.

Laughter is for the smiles he makes,
Joy is for the happiness he brings,
Sadness because I can't see him,
And tears for the sweetest things.

I've never known someone quite like him,
He is the sweetest guy I've ever met,
I'm so grateful we know each other,
He is someone I will never forget.

I've finally found someone,
My first, my love,
What do I call it?
I know, My First Love.

*this was my first poem, so its not very good*

Awh, lol, that was cute! I loved the last stanza as that was quite comical! The flow was good, as were your rhymes.. The descriptions were great too! And I loved the emotion you put into it..

Like my heart is fluttering like a dove.
^ Don't use "Like" twice in the same line..

Nicely done sweetie, keep it up! 5/5
