Death's Fiery Kiss (Part I)

by S R P   Mar 29, 2006

She stands there shaking
visions going around
her whole body is quaking
but she makes not a sound.

She opens her mouth
to release a scream
meant to pierce the air
that she thought in a dream.

She woke this morn'
to find she had none
not a soul in the world
because of what she'd done.

Karma believes in getting what you gave
but she never thought this severe
she just wants to see what she had
instead of emptiness's ugly leer.

She looks into a face
of one she can not name
a hideous sight to see
she found herself staring
at what her reflection should be.

Blood starts pouring from her arms
but she does not notice the pain
there she stands and stares at herself
as it slowly begins to rain.

She reaches to touch her face
the one that looks like her
but her finger can not touch skin
and she grasps at only air.

Not knowing what was happening
not knowing what to do
she let out a shrill squeak
surely this would be her doom.
