Lost Inside

Into this emptiness I peer
Numb inside, I feel no fear.
Life goes on outside of me
Though my soul is empty.

War rages inside of my dreams,
Waking up to terrified screams.
My heart desperately cries out
Throwing my mind into doubt.

Never ending, time goes on
Though my life is too foregone
Never seeing outside of this haze
I find naught but an empty gaze.

Inside of this labyrinth, forever lost
My meaningless efforts are exhaust
Never finding what is truly there
This life has caught me unaware.
