From Innocence

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Mar 29, 2006

A child is born into the world
An innocent young being,
Untouched by evil and hatred.
He lives in a world of blue skies
And rainbows.

But soon after,
The sky turns cloudy,
And the clouds turn black.
The innocence is overtaken,
By the experience of a tragic world.

Love is a riddle,
And the world is a maze
He ridicules his fellow men,
As he stands beyone...
And looks into the world-he laughs.

He overcomes his satirical joy...
He wonders about life.
A new beginning is within sight...
A beginning of joy,
A renewal of love.
