Hell's Uprising

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Mar 30, 2006

Let the walls fall away
And the writings be erased
Let The barriers decay
And the family be disgraced

the night overtakes
As the stars begin to riot
Lies burn at the stake
As the world falls quiet

The hill's eyes close
As fury shines in flame
eternal hate grows
and fallen pride is framed

A velvet curtain falls
as the lights burn out
the black raven calls
And we no longer doubt

Wings of a dragonfly break
as a baby's breath is stolen
Death clings to souls that shake
As they search skies for an omen

engulfed in hate so catastrophic
life hangs from a frayed string
a rage too powerful to stop it
Decieving the lyrics of songs i sing

New demons consume
As the sights go black
All hearts are entombed
by Hell's fatal attack

I wish I could write like that. Whenever I write I find I keep rhyming the same words at the end of my sentences. This is truly one of the only poems that's made me think on my writing style. Thank You:)
