A Beautiful Escape

I set aside my suicide note,
written in blood and tears.
Why is this world so cruel?
I never did anything to it.

Crying myself to sleep at night,
wondering why they pick on me.
Was it something I said to them?
Or is it the way I look or dress?

I wanted to live a normal life,
but they had to ruin it all.
I hate every single one of them,
Now I just need to get away.

Crumbled walls of self-esteem,
building up my self-defenses.
I'll never open up to the world,
only the skin on my wrist.

Just one more cut for luck,
It will be a beautiful escape.
I hurt myself so no one can,
It's just better off this way.

    Honestly, I don't like it when people cut themselves, blood and just everything about it makes me feel sick, but once again, I was left speechless after reading this poem... great great job!! i loved it... like anna said way back at the top of your list of comments for this one, the 4th stanza was very stong, it was amazingly written!
