Her Faithful Silence

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Mar 31, 2006

Ink bled from her pen, her pain transformed into words.
She filled her diary with her emotions;
She wrote of the silence that escaped her lips
Whenever she tried to speak of the secrets that ate her.

Blood escaped her open wounds, broken beyond repair.
Her silent cries echoed in the night, hurt.
Her screams rang at her ears,
As her lips delivered only their faithful whisper.

She sunk deeper into the darkness, losing grip.
She forgot the meaning of what she had been taught,
She forgot how to live, how to breath.
She tried so hard to escape the harsh truth.

Yet, there came a day when she no longer needed
To write her secrets, her past, her silence away.
There came a day when the ink from her pen dried.
A day when her scars finally faded.

There came a day when she no longer needed to write.

Amazing, I think that this is one of those poems that almost all poets can relate to.. the need to write that is so strong it consumes everything else. Wonderful I loved it. 5/5

This is one of them poems, what makes the reader think more about whats being said (instead of what's being written!) great piece...

I really liked this. The expressions, the feelings you lifted to the surface, were amazing. I could really feel the emotions. I liked its progressoin through the poem, and how the ending came down easily, but as a big impact. I loved it. Great Job.

Probably the best poem I've read in awhile.

Thanks so much for all your comments/support in the past. As you can see I kind of cleaned out my site.

    Well, thanks again!
    Keep writing.
