I Hate That I Love You

by shelby   Apr 2, 2006

I loved the way you held me
and the way you'd brush away my hair.
I loved the way you'd kiss me,
and the way you were always there.
I loved when you looked in my eyes,
and showed me the way you felt.
I loved the little things you did
that could just about make me melt.
I loved when we'd lay together
and the way you'd tickle me.
I loved when I could see you
and I loved the way you loved me...

But I hate the way you hurt me,
and tore apart my heart.
I hate how we don't talk now
and how it ended before it could start.
I hate it now when I see you
and the way you look at me.
I hate how I can't love anymore
or touch, or feel, or see.
I hate how I cry every night
and it hurts to talk to you now.
I hate how it had to end
and how I really don't know how.
But mostly I hate how I hurt you
and how I just can't set you free.
I hate that I've made you cry...
and I Really hate how you hate me.
