This I pray, on this
day, that my love will
never decay.

Emotions so deep,
and valley's so steep.
As I lay me down to
sleep, I pray the Lord
my baby to keep.

I was sick of my heart,
dripping with blood; the
dark red pool gleaming
and lying still; feeling
like crude, and so ready
to kill. How it longed to
know the warmth of a
man's touch, and how
it felt to love someone
so much.

No sad tears left to leak,
so cool and so meek; and
no other shall I seek and,
no longer shall I retreat.
Smiles among the
surface of me, and how
his love clings to me.

Thorns now surface deep,
and through oceans so meek,
As I lay me down to sleep, I
pray the Lord, my baby to keep.

This I pray, on this day,
that my love forever stay.
