Each Storm Makes You Stronger

Many problems seem to just flow under
This steel bridge that I have built
But the whirlwind of the rest of them
Leaves my castle at a revolving tilt

This tornado left my barriers broken
It smashed through all my defenses
I failed because I couldn't stop it
And I'm now living with the consequences

My army has been brutally slaughtered
I'm left with me and my broken dream
Just waiting for this wave to pass
And give me back my peaceful stream

My secret angel hides his presence
He thinks this will make me stronger
But my patience fuse is getting shorter
While the days only get longer

By now the flame has reached the bomb
As something inside me explodes
My confidence has reached it's highest
I'm determined to pave my golden roads

My angel now makes the sun shine brighter
My castle is safe, but I'll risk staying out
For I realize the more I appreciate my worth
The longer before the next storm comes about
