In the eyes of a sailor

by Ashley Redden   Apr 5, 2006

In the eyes of a sailor
The sea is his second love
the stars is his map
From the night sky above
The sun is just setting
Over the ocean blue
Night in soon to set in
As they're getting ready for bed
To lay alone again
The waves toss the ship
Rocking them to sleep
The waves get a little threating
But it ain't a fear for him
The power off the wind
Make the waters crash against the ship
And the rays from the sun
Make the sunburn on his face
As he says to himself
This is the life for me
He knows no other
Not sure he could live any other way
Than the life on the ocean
Sailing Day to Day
Whether its what makes him whole
And who he is today
Or whether its his duty
And he does it for the pay
This old ships what he calls home
And the sea
Oh, How he loves
It'll never change
And this way of life
He'll never give up
