What is love?

by master of shadow   Apr 7, 2006

What is love?

Balancing on a rope
Above a deep abyss
Nothing below to break your fall
Nothing above to hold you up
Walking a tight rope,
Across a great chasm
Swaying in the breeze
Knowing that the slightest movement
The slightest mistake
Will send you tumbling
Falling eternally.

But still we risk it
Risk the path over the void
And for what?
For that feeling deep within
That indescribable feeling.
For the one who makes you whole,
The one who you will do anything for
The one who caused you to walk this knife edge.
And the one who can send you tumbling
Tumbling down the steep slope
To fall for all eternity.

And that is love
The largest risk in life
The greatest adventure.
Walking a knife edge
Not knowing when you will fall,
Never knowing how or why
Not knowing the reason for the feeling
Never truly knowing what it is.
But knowing that you must not fall,
Must remain upon the rope
Swaying in the breeze.

    Some sentences needed works.
A whole is not bad, might be improved even better if you think in deeper. A good writer needs at least one or twice revise upon the whole piece of work and correct somewhere if necessary.Good job.
