Defeat

by master of shadow   Dec 2, 2006

Tired and alone,
Never truly awake,
Living as in a dream,
Everything seeming fake.
Darkness comes and goes,
Empty pain always there,
Not living, merely existing,
In a life that's far from fair.

Beaten for small mistakes,
Attacked in Gods name,
Insulted punched, burnt,
Each day ends the same,
Beaten and insulted,
A bloody mess upon the floor,
Left hurt and bleeding,
As he slams closed the door.

Beaten, hurt and punished,
Yet never made a sound,
Destroyed, bled and burning,
No escape to be found.

Choked, unable to breathe,
The world will fade from view,
Tied up with fishing wire,
More punishments shall ensue.
Burnt by a raging fire,
And boiling water raining from above,
All this from a father
Some twisted form of love.

Tied down in the darkness
Helpless and alone,
Sometimes I wonder if I imagined it...
How could nothing have shown?
But these scars they do remind me
That the past was real,
External scars of internal wounds,
Wounds that will not heal.

Starved, insulted, hated,
Beaten to the ground,
Chased, hit, defeated,
To this existence I am bound.

This house, it still whispers
Of all that has been,
All the fear and the punishments
Remembers all it's seen,
Great secrets are locked away
Within these walls so cold,
Silent witnesses
That saw it all unfold.

Starved, as undeserving,
Beaten, to remove all sin,
Insulted, as I am worthless,
A failure, never to win.
Silent, as I deserve it,
Burnt for being weak,
Punished for all that I am
And heading towards defeat.
