Katie

On that fatal Tuesday morning
The world we knew seemed to fade away,
Never again will we see her smile,
The tears flow in ever increasing torrents,
For never again will we hear her laugh Fill the air with joy

One tragic mistake tore her from our arms
Never to share another joy or pain
One turn, one swerve, one crash
Has left so one big empty hollow hole In our hearts

Staring out the window I sit here listening,
Listening to the people whose hearts you've touched,
Tears come to my eyes as I stare at the heavens,
Screaming inside, and begging God to tell me why
Why you had to die- you had so many years left to live
Why you had to go- you have left and i've never fealt so alone

Listlessly gazing through the crowd
We stand around your freshly dug grave
Even though we're sobbing inside, falling from the pain
We all try our hardest to smile, and try to be brave

We know your in a better place
dancing with the angels and talking to your best friend,
it's still so hard to say good-bye and Wipe away the tears we want to shed
even though, for us it's the end, for you it is just the begining

    "Listlessly gazing through the crowd
We stand around your freshly dug grave
Even though we're sobbing inside, falling from the pain
We all try our hardest to smile, and try to be brave" Those are my favorite lines to this poem, so touching and I know exactally what you meant. I've been that person so many times. I lost a friend too a couple years back and wrote about it. It's my Suicide By Denial poem if you want to read it. I just felt like you would appreciate it because you know what it's like 'cause you've been there too.
