Mechanical Hearts

by The Black Angel Lloyd Rose   Apr 9, 2006

Bolts, screws, soldered wires;
Lost all passion and desires;
Flesh wrapping within cold steel.
Metal for a broken soul; what a deal.
Mechanical heart; never feel love again,
So cold and rusting pins,
Pieces fallings, wires, plates,
Stops pumping; instead just waits,
Now a pure heart so red,
Shield rusted and left for dead.
I had a mechanical heart
Until I tore my shield apart.
Mechanical hearts many wield,
But I found her; I need no shield.
