I wish you knew the truth
i wish i had the nerve
i wish i could stop cryin
cause this isn't what i deserve

i wish you would break up with her
although i know that's not right
i wish i could get over you
i wish i had the might

i wish we could still be friends
even though i want much more
i wish we could go back in time
to the way it was before

i wish you knew that i'm hurting
so maybe you just wouldn't walk by
i wish you would wipe away my tears
every time i start to cry

i wish that it was just me and you
all alone in this world
things would be so much better
because not her, but i would be your girl
