Her Walk through the Park

by Steph   Apr 9, 2006

Walking tall with her purse in hand
A refreshing breeze waking her hair
She closes her eyes, gets lost in her thoughts
And smells the crisp and sweet air

Why is she here? and what does it mean?
She thinks as she leisurely walks
Passing too quickly to find any answers
To all of these meaningful thoughts

The sun shines down and glares off the cross
Which hangs from her neckless of gold
Reminds her of who gave the world all these things
And she prays He will help her unfold

Curiosity and wonder swim about in her head
Time and time again
She contemplates life and things she's been through
And wishes that it might not end

This world is so big but life is so short
How can she find the time
To think do and live so many of these things
In her promising and wishful lifetime

She looks at each face as she slowly walks by
Each person so different in fact
God loves them all and knows each one well
They all leave on the world an impact

Oh complexity of life so overwhelming
She still has much wisdom to gain
So eager to learn and discover these things
New goals she will try to attain

Exciting but confusing to be here and now
'Cause she can't quite understand
But she knows that God is with her here
And she trusts in His big plan

A quick punch of air as it soon turns cold
And back to reality she's out
Her walk through the park has come to an end
But she'll be back soon without a doubt
