Lucifer's Resurrection

by DMG   Apr 9, 2006

Have you ever had everything you gave a damn about
Stripped off your back and all you could do was scream and shout
But no one even heard you and no one knew your pain
As you sat and cried for hours in the blistering rain

And then someone approaches you and asks you a question
Like "why are you like this?" And then out comes your aggression
Haven't I already said enough? Have you not heard me?
Everything that's happened to me, can't you see how this has hurt me?

Can't you just for one second realize all of my stress
I've always been the best yet now I fail to impress
And everything's downhill and I'm tumbling faster
Than I ever have before, I'm tumbling toward disaster

Till I hit the bottom, I thought I never would have gotten
This low, I'm fading out from the Known to the Forgotten
I sought to be the best of the best that I could be
But obviously destiny had it in for me

So here I am, me, does that answer your question?
Ladies and gentlemen, Lucifer's resurrection!
