Yearn

by Lilly   Apr 11, 2006

I long for the way you looked at me,
And how you touched my hand,
And the way, with you, I was always free,
Was everything but bland.

I miss peering into your eyes,
And viewing an intimate love,
Nurturing every one of your cries,
Your caress, like songs of a dove.

Oh, how I miss the union we shared,
How you knew always what I would say,
How I was sure you so deeply cared,
We connected in every way.

I looked onward to you, and you to me,
I lived solely for your smile,
Our love was what they desired to be,
At least for that blissful while.

I long to return to that idyllic way,
But I left you some days ago,
Presently I can merely pray,
That my yearning will by no means show.
