This Time, I Win

by Darien   Apr 15, 2006

This Time, I Win

I broke my vocal chords,
screaming your name.
I wanted to send a message,
'I win this game'.

Did you hear me say?
'I hate the games you play'.

It's not worth winning,
at the cost of losing.
The one I truly love,
for something amusing.

Cheaters never win,
they hold a deadly sin.

I won't be known,
for breaking hearts.
I preserve my love,
for when it starts.

The pounding in my chest,
claims I laugh best.

When my voice heals,
I will scream at you.
For all of these things
that you put me through.

I will never forgive,
for as long as I live.

You always have really strong emotion in all of you poems. It makes them really stand out from other peoples. You had a good rhyme scheme.
