One Moment

by Rachael   Apr 18, 2006

Every word is cautiously thought out,
as if it could change the world,
Letters are lined-up carefully,
thought of by a hopeful girl,
She's doing what she wants,
and writing how she feels,
She wants to display her talent,
by showing everyone she's real.

Words, letters run through her head,
as her pencil glides along,
Thoughts, emotions strung together,
making a beautiful unsung song,
Pages and pages, read by no one,
and appreciated by even less,
Used to help her stay alive,
and as a way to end the stress.

She's slowly growing up now,
and faced with issues each day,
She writes as much as possible,
to sort out everything she must face,
She writes about imagined things,
that she wishes would come true,
She wants to fit in so bad,
but she really has no clue.

She feels alone everyday,
like she's got no one to trust,
But really there's a special girl,
in which everything is discussed,
This girl is the best of the best,
and from me will always be loved,
She's everything anyone could ask for,
like a guardian angel from above.

Really she's just one person,
who takes one moment to care,
Unlike all the others standing by,
that have more than a second to spare,
But no, all she does is listen,
for that one moment is all it takes,
To mend a lonely, broken soul,
an prevent its unexpected break.
