Fade Away

by Rachael   Apr 18, 2006

She innocently sits on her bed,
alone and unable to fight,
She thinks about her sorrowful tears
and how easily they'll ignite.
She wants to cope with the numbing emotions
she has always felt,
She's got no one to suppress her pain,
no one can possibly help.
She wants to take action by herself
and deal with it her way;
She needs to do something now
because she's quickly fading away.
She slowly breaking down now
because she knows it's going to end,
She needs somebody to light the darkness,
someone to help her mend.
She cannot speak about the things she feels,
or what she truly thinks,
She wonders what would happen
if she found the missing link.
She knows that everyone around her
is constantly in the dark,
She hides that fact that when nobody's looking,
she's still falling apart.
She thinks about the effects it has on her,
and everything she cannot be,
I think about what she does and realize,
that one person will always be me.
