Goodbye seems to be the hardest to say

I thought it was sorry that was the hardest word to say.
well it always seemed to be, for you anyway.
Now everything's changing and I'm going away,
but before i leave theres a few things to say.

I guess good bye is a good place to start but i feel theres a lot more to come from this heart.
We've shared so much laughter and even more pain.
But now that I'm leaving it cant be the same.

Goodbye sounds empty, so harsh and so sad.
But no matter what i want you to feel glad. We've been there for each other through the hurt and the pain, but now we're apart and it can't be the same.

we'll talk all the time or at least so you say. well maybe for the first day anyway. I know all to well that you won't really try so I'll say it right here so that i won't even cry.

I don't want your promises just an agreement to have. That we'll treasure our memories and we wont feel so sad.

I know goodbye seems to end it today but at least we both know where we stand anyway.

off on an adventure
off to build up our dream.
