They Reveal

by Kalika   Apr 20, 2006

Wide eyes, staring.
Always staring, unseeing.
Views only the capsules, the peel.
Never glimpses the colours.

Hiding

They shine, emanate with feeling.
Look closely, they reveal.
Always changing.
No one knows.

Pretty face with a smile,
Fools the staring.
Can't see the colour, the grey.

Child with a frown,
Everyone judges,
But the white shows.

Look closely, they reveal.

Wide eyes staring,
Seeing only tissue.
Colours still hiding,

Waiting.
