My Razors Goodnight Kiss

by Samantha Jayneee   Apr 21, 2006

Tonight her sleep will never end,
And for another night she wont pretend
That it's not you in her mind,
Reminding her what she's left behind.
Whilst holding the bottle in her hand,
Wanting to leave her lonely land,
She whispers one more slow goodnight,
And up the stairs she takes her flight,
She walks in time with him up each stair,
Though his presence is not fully there.
Taking her hand he leads her on,
But she doesn't know that he'll soon be gone.
She pulls up her sleeve, the knife strokes her past
And she knows tonight she's leaving at last.
Tiptoeing slowly she reaches the door,
Opens it quietly and drops to the floor.
Tugs at her cabinet, searches each shelf,
Looking for the cure to heal herself.
Through tear filled eyes the blades she sees,
She grabs them, shivers, begins to freeze.
With the slit of her finger the blades break in half,
She licks the blood and to herself she laughs.
She lifts the blades to her lips, as if they were sweets,
And painfully swallows between heart beats.
As her throat cuts in half she can't help but cry,
Then using crimson ink writes her reasons why;
Explains her life story in under one line -
'You never understood my definition of fine.'
She coughs as a blood drop falls to the ground,
Then silently screams - she can't make a sound.
With a rip and a shred, her eyes both close
And she continues alone down the path that she chose.

I wrote this with my best friend Elle when we were on holiday in sunny Spain... her screen name is [She.Falls.Asleep] check out her stuff... she's an amazing writer and i love her so much x
