Chewing Gum

by Erika   Apr 22, 2006

I didn't want to listen,
but it took me by surprise.
I followed my heart,
but I couldn't believe my eyes.

How could it be him,
what am I doing?
Just take some gum,
get distracted keep chewing.

Forget what happened,
turn your back on fate.
Keep on chewing,
you're doing great.

You can't get hurt again,
but you have to stop being a fake.
Then again,
you don't want another heartache.

You take big chances,
to get big rewards.
So stop chewing that gum,
and start moving forwards.

Yes you can't fear being hurt again and live a sheltered life you have to take chance and go for it you might get hurt or you might be happier than you've ever been but you have to try you always have to try
