April.

You're everything I need, and everything I've looked for.
You're my best friend, and I could never ask for more.

You make everything in my life okay,
you help me with everything day by day.
You make me incredibly happy,
so happy, that I have to write poems so sappy.
You've turned everything I know upside down.
You've made me better, and with you I rarely frown.

I've promised to many people I'd stay with them forever.
But you're the only best friend that I want to be forever together.

Without you, I'd be nothing.
Because before you I wasn't something.
People see the change, and so do I.
Now that I have you as my best friend in my life.

I could promise you this, and I could promise you that.
But I know ruining our friendship isn't worth it.
I can't promise you perfection, and no pain.
I can't promise you no aggravation until you're insane.
I can't promise the greatest friend ever,
I can't even promise you forever.

Forget the distance.
Forget the pain.
Forget the broken heart,
and how I drive you insane.
Forget the ignoring.
Forget the fights.
Forget the past,
because it isn't right.

I'll help you get through everything you need,
I'll help you become the someone you want to be.
I'll help you when you're low, and I'll make you smile.
The list goes on about things I'll do for you; it's a pile.

I said I couldn't promise everything,
but I can promise one thing.
I promise to be your best friend, and love you until the day I die.
Make sure you believe my promise, because it will never be a lie.
