Like Mother Like Daughter.

by Jessica   Aug 8, 2005

So you weren't there for me.
And you're still not sorry.
I'm wondering why you can't see,
that because of you, I can't be all I could be.

You were my mom and yet my best friend.
Now because of your habits you caused our relationship to end.
What kind of friend does that, or what kind of parent.
For me to love you again, I don't dare it.

How I miss how we laughed and cried together,
you'll be in my heart forever.
It breaks my heart to see you like this,
to tell you what you've done wrong, would be a big list.
But I won't blame you, or put you down,
because you're still my mom and I hate to see you frown.

I'll love you forever, even if you do wrong,
because what you mean to me, I couldn't write it's way to long.
You're my everything, and yet you act like nothing.
But like mother like daughter, these words mean something.
