Keep Your Head Held High

by Jackie Marie   Apr 24, 2006

Keep your head held high
Don't let it fall to the floor
In only a few more years
You'll be walking through freedom's doors
Please do not doubt our love
For mom and I love you so much
We will help you through your time of need
By sending many cards and such
We will wait here at home
For however long it takes
We'll hug you and never let go
When we finally get to see your face
Pretty soon, It will be all over
And you wil continue on with life
You will meet the woman of your dreams
And you will chose her as your wife

*My brother is in prison and I wrote this too him. I added those last two lines to make him laugh. So take that into consideration when you go to rate this piece. He is going through some hard times and I just want him to know how much we care!!*

This is a touching piece. I loved the first stanza it is hopeful and inspirational especially when you read the comment at the end.
A lovely upbeat tone as well.

I think that was very kind of you to write that to him because now he probably feel like he has a home to go to now when he out and that he is still loved and that he can depend on you when he going through the hardest things!!!!!
