Freedom

by sharon   Apr 24, 2006

The wind is blowing and speaking loud, as I lay here in my bed
My eyes are tired; my body is weak with thoughts rushing in my head

The wind whispers soft and gentle, she is directly speaking to me
You like my sound she says, you like the feeling of being totally free

Come and join me, see the world through eyes that are brand new
The wind is calming and yet its powerful voice is beckoning words so true

You have a choice to lie there and never experience change
A night with me, we could do that now, lets not bother to rearrange

She starts to howl and laugh at me as I try to ignore she is there
The tingle down my spine reminds me she is honest, open and fair

A gush of wind rattles my windows and I am trying to ignore her truth
She reminds me that we grow old forgetting the freedom of our youth

The trees are dancing with their friend, blowing to and fro
She slides through every gap, with leaves of autumn glow

She controls the sky tonight, wanting me to know
She is my friend of freedom, joining her will help me grow

She takes chances and blows where ever she can
Its freedom of choice she says, be all that I am
