Violin

by Ruthie   Apr 25, 2006

My small fingers shake
Little body shivers
I'm so excited
Head to toe quivers

Up it goes way high
So proudly displayed
On my little shoulder
Under my chin laid

The first sound so ugly
It's thrown down in disgust
Not knowing that patience
Will always be a must

As the years progress
Each sound grows more mature
Each note has its own beauty
And ability to lure

Each stage a stepping stone
To more amazing things
But strangely to my soul
This music always clings

Sit in the audience
I can only sigh
In awe of such perfection
How beauty cannot lie

Sinking deeper still
I delve into its mystery
The many different colors
And diverse history

Lost in my little world
Oblivious to the outside
Just me and my violin
On our one way music ride.

I haven't seen many poems written for the love towards an item like an instrument or music itself, and this certainly was something that seemed genuinely heartfelt and sincere. I really enjoyed it!

*Heehee! I used to play violin!*

I even rarely pay attention to Violins, but this actually drawed me closer to its unique sound. You expressed it vividly and its beauty as someone's experience grows, so does their music. Great Job, I love it.

I LOVE it, and I don't know much about the viloin at ALL! I've always wanted to play it, b/c it looks SO fun, but as I've always professed, I'm no good with musical instruments! Anyway, 5/5 and keep it up! :D
