Life's A Stage

by michele deluca   Apr 26, 2006

Is life just a stage,
My actions just scripts on a page?
Forever faking the smile
While my regrets stretch on for miles
Always in the spotlight
When you're the star of your own life
When does fate step in?
Not my choice, only time will determine
Now crying on queue
When the scene's over, back to being used
Unseen in the back
Can't bear to mess up, make things go off track
The polite applause
Will never make up for years of loss
They're dimming the lights
Now is your chance to make this right
As the curtains close
The end to this mixed up show
Is life just a stage,
Playing along until the last page?*
