Faithless Faith

by michele deluca   Aug 18, 2006

Blindly believing these obscurities
Nothing you say will put my thoughts at ease
Faced with the truth, never given the choices
Looped over tape, muffled intent and voices
Changing your view on all that you stood for
Not agreeing, deceiving, what's it all good for?
Starting to ask questions that are too deep
Returned silenced answers, my theories too weak
No explanations offered, my faith runs dry
Afraid to look into what, how and why
You've been hiding my options, stashed them away
Stand up and shut up, I've got something to say
Merciless mercy, it's another strike
Every life, each belief, is not so alike
War between choices, inside me always
But for now, from my lips, they'll be no songs of praise*
