Broken Beyond Repair

by Bradley Peter   Apr 26, 2006

She feels broken beyond repair
filled with so much doubt
she thinks no one else will care
so she doesn't let them out
her sorrows are locked up tight
so the world cannot see
how everyday she must fight
to stop them getting free

she never speaks of her pain
and her tears never fall
deep inside it must remain
worries, doubts and all
nor friends nor family can know
she's far to scared to say
so she continues with her show
pretending every-thing's okay

the truth must one day be told
for everyone to hear
soon she will have to be bold
and speak of her fear
the secret fear she has kept
from all beneath the stars
that haunted her as she slept
that's made so many scars

Pretending to be happy when you're torn up inside is the hardest thing to do. Great job on portraying the pain someone can lock up inside, your description was just too good. Loved it.

I luv it. obv not da best reaction to a sad poem but it's a very insightful, emotive, dark and powerful piece. It's sad bcos its so tru and this poem definitely is an insight into the mind of sum1 hu is depressed and how much of a struggle it is to try and deal with pain and fear that haunts people daily.
